Golf Trippin' Down Under

5 days of pure golf at 3 golf courses in Gold coast was what I did over the past week..and I must say I was quite fortunate to have been through such a fantastic experience..other than that..it was a little bit of father son bonding..nephew uncle bonding..gambling and a whole lot more :)


My retired uncle's place overlooks the Colonial Golf course from his garden..During summer time..the ducks would waddle right up to the patio..and we'd feed them bread..This was the same place I spent 1 month in solitude studying for my A levels just before the exam.


My Granduncle Robin developed this part of Gold Coast some 30 years ago..and now, the community is named after him.."Robina"

No worries, we move along..

Today I learnt a very important lesson in life..from a close friend whom I believe is one of the most perceptive ones that I have met..

That is, whatever course of action you take, whatever decision you make, must be a carefully thought through one..And you can NEVER EVER rush anything in life in order to get the most out of it..Sometimes you gotta take a step back to see the bigger picture, before you make your move..Bottom line is..Take your time..All things grow with time and patience..

Personally I'm extremely happy where I am..close family..TEG..special friends and great company..golf..runs..meeting new people..contributing to hall..and enjoying every minute of it..I hope that everyone who reads this is happy with their lives and making full use of it too..especially TEG, since you guys have spent a substantial amount of time away from Singapore and I haven't had the opportunity to have a good guy talk with u all..get your asses back so we can chill again like the good old times!

Soccer binds all nations. Singapore Vs Bulgaria Vs Ukraine Vs USA

just played soccer just now with my colleagues from kings dominion. it was damn fun! we found a field that was a few blocks away from our dorm rooms and 14 guys (2 Americans, 2 Singaporeans, me and Mingwei, about 5 Bulgarians and the rest were Ukrainians) played a 7v7. freaking world cup man! haha my team won 10-7. and the field was really good, with goalposts and proper grass.. please in Singapore its like almost impossible to find a proper field to play. the Bulgarians are good, the Ukrainians are too, soccer must be huge in their country man. I scored a backheel! When they first arrived, there was the language barrier as a lot of them could not speak English, only the bare minimal. After today’s game, it seems like we all knew each other a decent lot more! The language of Football really is universal.

Work heres pretty decent. We're starting to work everyday now and it was getting a bit monotonous. Thankfully, my colleagues at rebel yell (a wooden coaster) and carousel are really nice. (rebel yell and carousel are my rides..) Greg my supervisor, Jen, Amanda, Yovo, chantele, mike, lauren.. these people really make the mundane days more bearable. I’ve learnt to talk cock more. talking nonsense more really makes the hours pass faster =o) now only looking forward to Friday, cos its Lam's birthday! remember to wish her happy birthday ! the 4 of us, (lee lam poh me) are gonna spend the day in the park, the actual day I can take all the rides. can’t wait for that breather.

Its actually pretty stressful at the coasters at times cos there's the safety issues and all. for example, when you forget to push down a restraint, or also known as a lap bar, even when there's no one on the ride, you get an ACR. its like a safety breach record and you get sent home for the day. but its kinda expected, cos the coasters are pretty fast and dangerous, it is our responsibility to check the seatbelts and restraints properly..

alright. thats about all, cant wait to get back home soon, mark, better go train up your golf. heh. 9 holes, come.. =o)
