"For me, today was a bad day..."
yes it is. but it wasn't all bad. started out fine with eugene and me walking around town waiting for everyone to join us. i was doing impulsive shopping and good ol'eugene managed to dissuade me from my impulsive ways. so we left guess, zara and fcuk empty handed. well, almost. i bought a red fcuk top that had scribbles of fcuk. what was i to do? i was being impulsive. yeah. seriously eugene, if i were you, i'd rather get the zara top for 89, than the AX top for 199. they look almost the same and i think you look better in brown than blue. go for it.
anyway, afterwhich we had dinner where shaun joined us. things started to go wrong when the projector started screwing up and spurs equalised against liverpool. that was just the beginning of the downward spiral. upset no.1.
we then proceeded to far east for pool/lan. the one beside wheelock, not the one opposite pacific plaza. fruitless session as we didn't play pool or lan. just diddled about inside, wacking around the arcade. it's a good time to mention that most of the games were down. but that didn't upset me, coz rouge was waiting. NUS biz ad bash. couldn't be that bad..
out of far east we went and suddenly shaun left for a rather familiar looking lady standing by the street. with eugene and me taken by surprise, we could only mutter our 'seeyas' and wonder if that's the last of him we'll see tonight. doubting shaun's return and feeling a lil let down by a good friend, i became increasingly upset. upset no.2.
along the way to rouge, i realised the bash had a theme. brazilian theme. samba, not rnb as promise. i suggested going to black but eugene mentioned we should head there and check it out first. i was sure rouge doesn't do rnb but we went on anyway. it was a long walk and with humidity and heat abound, i naturally got heated up along as well. upset no.3. ever notice that when you're irritated, every small thing tends to piss you off?
so, we finally reached rouge. ok the crowd was really promising. looks good and all. the music, remains to be judged. 10 bucks and we're in. true to the theme, they were playing rather samba-ish music. i was ok with it. reminds me rather of safri duo. the crowd increasingly reminded me of wednesday's phuture. squeezy, mmm. had a taste of vanilla vodka sprite. mmm, vanilla...tasty. shaun msges to suggest he might not join us afterall. felt very letdown. proceeded to tell him off. upset no.4.
finally got out of rouge. a friend mentions he might help us jump the queue into black if we wanna go. it was really tempting and eugene and i contemplated. seeked out the guys and asked if they wanna go. neth greg cai eugene and i. we were all really willing but somehow we had been struck by the disease known as 'catatonia', and we didn't move an inch. just sitting around chattering and chattering. with no one wanting to make a move, i helped them all decide and told them that we're staying since no one looks like they're leaving. so we all stayed and wanted to go in. but the whole management screwed up the entry and everything and the rest had to pay 21bucks to get in. it was naturally not worth 21 bucks to get into rouge so we all decided to go somewhere else. oh did i mention shaun returned? pleasantly surprised but regretted roasting him earlier on.
sitting by the roadside, no one wanted to make up their mind. i didn't mind anything as long as the guys stuck together since everyone rushed down to join us, it'll be bad not to include everyone in the plans. however, things soured when the east dudes decided to go parkway for pool. kenneth and eugene got major pissed off and left on the spot. my ideal not met plus everything that happened previously got me major pissed off as well. everyone left so i naturally went with the eastside and headed to parkway.
there, watching the balls roll around, playing pool took my mind off the bad stuff and i soon got back to my normal self albeit a lil introverted. somehow i'd always feel somewhat remorseful after a bout of anger. it's just me i guess. a period of reflection ensued during pool and i managed to relax and cool down. in between, i got a rather sweet msg. very timely one indeed. in fact the msg was the catalyst in helping me cool down. i'd like to thank her. so, thank you.
i realise i have a penchant for doing long long posts, be it talking crap, ranting, enlightenment or just a dry description of my day(like now). some may enjoy it, some may not, so just bare with me and i hope you'll get used to it. actually there's alot more i wanna say/talk about, but i guess i'll leave my enlightenments till my next post. my day, shall hence end here. it's now time for me to rest. good night everyone.
"...tonight however, i shall sleep in peace."
